1. My goals for this project are to: A) Help the reader be able to complete a vinyl siding job on their home. B) Complete it with an ease and understanding. C) Help them be able to easily explain it to others, or to really grasp the concept well.

2. Six reader questions and the responses.

• What will these instructions help me do?
• These instructions will ensure that you can easily complete a vinyl siding job without running into any "bumps" along the way. 
• Is there anything special I need to know to be able to use these instructions effectively?
• First off, it will be near impossible to do it by yourself. The help of a friend is strongly encouraged. Also, you will need to be able to climb ladders and do other physically demanding work repetitively, and with ease.
• If working with equipment, where are the parts I need to use.
• You can get all equipment necessary for completing these instructions at any major hardware retailer (ie. Home Depot, Lowes, Menards)
• What materials, equipment, tools will I need?
• Circular saw, tin snips, utility knife, a ladder to reach required height of house, saw horses with 2 junk 2X4 boards approximately 8 feet long, hammer, vinyl siding removal tool, speed square, level, 1 1/2" long roofing nails, tape measurer, carpenters pencil (or marking device), waterproof building wrap, siding starter strip, utility trim, j-channel, outside corner post, vinyl siding pieces.
• Once I am ready to start, what, exactly do I do?
• Start by removing old siding down to the plywood exterior of the home.
• Something isn't working properly, what do I do?
• Go back one or two steps and see if everything was completed exactly as described.

3.The Wikihow community is a compilation of guides to complete tasks from the easiest and silliest, all the way to the most insane high level of projects. People post questions on how to accomplish a specific goal or task, and people write step by step instructions on how to complete them. Here are two comparable entries.

• My page will also be in nice, neat step by step instructions that are easy to follow, however it will have a significantly more in depth (and up front) list of everything you will need to complete the project so that the reader knows what they are getting into.

• The steps in this procedure are more in-depth, as will the steps in my project. However, I will make the steps easier to navigate with more bullet points, making the steps easier to read and navigate through this complicated process.
