  1. What does Anderson say are the three key things Employers look for?  (p.25) How will your C.V. provide these? The three key things that Employers look for, according to Anderson, are technical expertise, supporting abilities, and favorable personal qualities. My C.V. will will provide these in a clear and organized manner which will allow my reader to see the key terms that describe my person and qualities. I will follow Anderson's main guidelines to best organize and present my information.
  2. What are the Three Ways Employers Read Resumes?  How can your resume accommodate these?  Is a one page resume enough? (p. 26) The three ways employers read resumes are: initial screening, detailed examination of the most promising applications, and preparation for in-depth interviewing. In order to pass the initial screening, I would have to make my resume a "screening" resume which includes key words that the company could be looking for so that, if I rely on a computer to scan my resume, or my employer is looking for specific words, i can make sure these are included. Once this is passed, my employer can examine my resume and look at all the skills and experiences that I have to contribute to the company. For the last way that employers read resumes, I want to provide my employer with information that is going to make them interested in finding more about my skills and possible contributions. I feel that a one page resume is enough if your are just starting your undergraduate career and have little experience in the field you want to work in. In the case of you having more experience, I feel that a two page resume is fine as long as you keep the most important facts that will make you a great candidate for the position.
