Dear Professor Grogan,

I urge you to permit my admittance into English 3050 for the Winter 2015 semester.

This course is crucial to both my career and educational goals. For my career, it will be imperative to learn
the skills this class offers in order to make myself more marketable to employers. As for my educational goals,
this course is required to receive my degree from Wayne State University.

I have a number of character strengths that will ensure my success in this class, and they include:

   - Extreme Attention to detail.
   - The tenacity to never give up on a project or task.
   - Work extremely well with others
   - Natural leader

The only weakness I am aware of is my past struggles with writing classes. These courses have always been the hardest
for me; however, I will not let that stop me from doing my best at all times.

I have a lot to offer this class. I will give an "outside the box" way of thinking, a strong work ethic to
succeed, and a real desire to become a better writer for my career.

Again, I urge you to accept me into your class so I can start to show you my value.
